Christopher Poe DDS

Dr. Chris Poe was born and raised in Roseburg, Oregon. He attained his DDS from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. He also received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Chemistry from Western Oregon University. He has been practicing dentistry in Montrose, Colorado since 2011. Dr. Poe has seen the need for expanded dental services and modern techniques/options from his large mountain community patient base in Ouray and San Miguel counties. Dr. Poe is the same great modern dentist that you have come to know and will now be providing these services in Ridgway.

You can expect a warm smile and a positive attitude when meeting with Dr. Poe. He is dedicated to dental excellence and uncompromising patient care while treating each one of his patients like friends. Dr. Poe is a member of the American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Cerec Doctors, licensed IV Sedation Dentist along with Study Groups to mention a few. He enjoys cutting-edge technology and progressive thinking within the field of dentistry to deliver the most functional, esthetic and long-lasting dentistry possible for his patients.

Dr. Poe performs all aspects of general dentistry. Whether performing complex complete smile makeovers or a one surface filling, Dr. Poe strives to practice dentistry at the highest level possible for his patients. Cutting edge technology and techniques allow for more predictable and long-lasting outcome to treatment.

Dr. Poe comes from an extensive background in humanitarian dentistry, which his father exposed him to at a very young age. This has given Dr. Poe a great sense of purpose performing humanitarian aid throughout the world. He continues to stay active in giving back through his dental talents wherever the need may arise, serving all over the world.

Dr. Poe is happily married to his wife Misti and is an avid outdoorsman and hunter. He enjoys spending time skiing, biking, hunting, fishing, camping, traveling and everything outdoor that this state has to offer.

Mandy | Office Manager

Mandy spent her childhood here in beautiful Ridgway. She moved to Utah for college and later returned to the area after living in Colorado Springs. Now a proud mom of two, she still enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time outdoors. For more than four years, Mandy has been a familiar and welcoming presence at River Peak Dental. She’s the friendly voice you hear when calling the office and the warm smile that greets you when you walk through the door. Mandy is your go-to person for Insurance/account concerns and is always happy to help.

Olivia | Registered Dental Hygienist

Olivia was raised in Montrose, Colorado. She always knew she wanted to be in the dental field. After an internship in high school, she knew dental hygiene was the right fit because it allows her to care for others and bring a smile to the patient’s face! After graduating from Colorado Northwestern Community College she moved back to Montrose, CO. She enjoys spending time with her family outdoors. Olivia also has a crafty side. In her free time she enjoys making crafts for her Etsy shop.

Ahren | Registered Dental Hygienist

As an almost Colorado native, Ahren grew up in Parker and now proudly calls Montrose home. River Peak Dental was the very first office she practiced in after starting her career in 2017. Her return to River Peak feels like a warm homecoming. She is passionate about providing gentle, thorough care and helping her neighbors achieve healthy, confident smiles. When she isn’t in the clinic, she’s usually taking full advantage of the Colorado landscape—snowboarding through the winters and hitting the hiking trails all summer long.

Kali | Dental Assistant

Kali was born and raised in Montrose, Colorado and enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Her favorite place to spend free time is at her cabin, where she loves to fish, hike and ride her four wheeler all while taking in the beautiful views! Kali has been in the dental field since 2017 and is excited to continue growing in the industry.

Jade | Dental Assistant

Jade was born and raised in Montrose, Colorado. She enjoys spending time with family and friends. Jade is passionate about working out and is working towards getting her Personal Trainer’s Certification. Jade also loves playing sports and she already knows her new hobby will be becoming an Auntie in December! Jade started working in the dental field in 2022 and is absolutely loving it. She can’t wait to learn more!

MaKenzie | Patient Coordinator and Media Coordinator

MaKenzie grew up in Ripon, Wisconsin. Later, spending her young adult years performing music and exploring her passion for photography. She earned her associate’s degree from the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh and later moved to Colorado in 2021 with her Telluride-local partner. MaKenzie has worked in dentistry since 2021 and enjoys being part of a team that helps patients feel confident in their dental health

Misti Poe | Patient Coordinator

Misti was born and raised in the Great Northwest—Washington State to be exact. As our office manager, she will welcome you into the practice with a warm smile and can assist you with all of your dental needs. Misti loves spending time with her husband of 14 years, their daughter Lucy Ellarose and their chocolate lab Kenya. Colorado has been the perfect place for her to live out an outdoor lifestyle of skiing, hiking in the mountains, and paddleboarding on the rivers. Misti also has a passion for interior design, which is evident from the moment you walk into our office!

Lucy Poe | Comfort Concierge and Model

Lucy is 7 years old and enjoys dancing each and every day! She is in ballet this year and can't wait to be on stage for her recitals in the spring. Lucy loves to come to the office to greet patients, give out warm neck pillows and offer beverages. She loves to watch her Daddy do dentistry and she wants to be a Dentist (and Unicorn trainer) when she grows up!

Indy Poe | Mischief Maker, Office Flirt & Model

Indy is 4 years old and loves getting into mischief! He's an active boy with tons of energy and keeps his parents on the go! His favorite toys are trucks and he loves to follow Daddy around the office. Indy's motto is "I da boss, you da worker"...perfect for his position here at River Peak Dental!
